Founder & Executive Director
Born and raised in the heart of Metro Manila, Reyn is a proud Filipina who has long seen the disparities in the educational systems of the Philippines. The juxtaposition of privilege and poverty baffles her: in school, she studies within the comfort of air conditioned classrooms, but on the bus ride home from campus, she sees the harsh realities of living in the shanties of Metro Manila.
As a student at International School Manila, she has then decided to use her privilege to serve the underserved. She founded The Wagon School, a nonprofit committed to the literacy development of Filipino street children, when she was 13 years old to help address educational inequity in the Philippines.
“Being a student at International School Manila has given me the privilege to receive quality education. But I believe that quality education shouldn’t be limited to the few or the wealthy. At The Wagon School, we aim to bring quality education to everyone, especially to the children at the fringes of Philippine society.”
Outside of service, Reyn enjoys binge-watching Netflix shows, baking (and eating), learning how to play the guitar, and playing with her dog, Flash.
